Explore Mallorca’s Wildlife

Mallorca is well known among European birders and nature lovers as a major wildlife hotspot in the Western Mediterranean. In spring and autumn migratory birds cross the island during their long journeys. Threatened and rare species breed or can easily be seen, such as the Eleonora’s falcon, Black (Cinereous) and Griffon vultures, Bonelli’s eagle, the endemic Balearic warbler and Balearic shearwater, Moustached warbler, Audouin’s Gull, Purple heron, Red-knobbed coot, Marbled duck, Bee-eater and many others.

Many orchids and endemic plants are found in the forests, sand dunes and mountains, adding to this amazing biodiversity. The island offers a great diversity of habitats, ranging from wetlands, sand dunes and beaches, Mediterranean garrigue, holm oak and pine forests to farmland, rocky cliffs and high mountains.

We offer ecotourism activities, focusing not only on the knowledge and enjoyment of birds and wildlife, but also on spreading and creating awareness on the natural values of our environment, while promoting their conservation.
